Phase III Trials

Cingal’s efficacy and safety profile is supported by three completed Phase III clinical trials.

92%

OMERACT-OARSI Responders

89% were responders at Week 1, demonstrating early improvement maintained over time and 92% at Week 26, demonstrating both rapid onset and durable response (OMERACT-OARSI = validated responder criteria for OA clinical trials).

Two complementary actions. One intra-articular injection.

Cingal combines two well-established treatments into a single, ready-to-use formulation:

Component 1

Hyaluronic Acid (HA): Monovisc-based

Proprietary high-concentration, cross-linked hyaluronic acid, produced through bacterial fermentation (not avian-derived), restores viscoelastic properties in the osteoarthritic joint and supports longer-term mobility and function.

Component 2

Triamcinolone Hexacetonide (TH)

An approved, long-acting corticosteroid with approximately 21-day duration of action. Micronised TH is suspended directly in the HA gel, part of a proprietary process, to deliver rapid reduction in intra-articular inflammation.

Together, they provide quick symptom relief while supporting longer‑term mobility and function across treated joints.

A unique, integrated combination of hyaluronic acid and corticosteroid.

Designed for the way knee OA presents

Patients want relief they can feel now and results that last. Cingal is formulated to do both, with a proven combination that addresses inflammation and joint mechanics in one treatment.

  • Rapid reduction in pain and stiffness
  • Well-tolerated and clinically proven
  • Sustained symptom improvement from a single injection
  • Backed by Anika’s hyaluronic acid expertise
